Had to come into the city to work today, which as a side note is a total waste of time. I don't know why she calls me in here to do stupid work. She told me she had this huge project to do and nothing. I freaking made copies and bullshit work. ARG.
Anyway, got to the Netcong station and there was no one there. Hmmm, ok The train should be there in like 2 min. Waited, no train, looked at the schedule again and realized that I had been looking at the wrong station. Arg. Now I had to book it to Dover.
Get to Dover. Try to find parking so I don't get another ticket. Find a lot but none of the inside spots had meters... Find a cop. Cop says go park there or go to the court house and get a parking pass for the day. Don't have time for that. Go pack and find a spot with a meter and root around for quarters. PHEWWWWww.
Walk to the station, buy my tickets and ask when the next train is (thinking it was 8:15 and next train should be at 8:30) He says 8:57! WHAT?? ARG Turns out it was 8:40. I lost 20 min finding a spot. Fine but that just means I don't get into the city till after 10.
Get half way to the city and I'm just sitting there reading my book when I realize we've been at a station for a while. Normally it's like a 45 second stop and off we go again. We'd been sitting for a good 2 minutes. Uhm hmmm. Then all of a sudden the conductor is running down the isle. Uh? That CAN'T be good.
I hear CRANK BANG CRANK BANG over and over. I'm like, what the hell? Then the guy comes over the loud speaker and says, We're having a problem with our brakes. We have to dump them and then do a few tests. HUH???!!!?? Crap. We're gonna end up taking the express track to Penn Station and then going straight through it.
Needless to say, we made it to NY alive. Although, I didn't get in until around 10:30 due to the delay.
At my first smoke break Jen and I went outside and guess who we saw!! We got our very own serenade from the "Naked Cowboy"

I can't get youtube to link the video, so here is the link. His hair is longer now, but he's still got a great body. HA!
I stopped for gas today. I put in $10 since that's all I had and it gave me 1/8 of a tank. I went about 2 miles down the road and my gas light came on again. Arg. Damn gas prices.
I FINALLY got a notice from the IRS saying that our money is COMING!! Thank God. I'm sure the mortgage company will be happy, and the electric company, and the phone company and who ever else I can squeeze a payment too. Let it come NOW!!!
